Damien Cancilla

Damien Cancilla is a Senior Environmental Specialist at Fortescue Metals Group, with extensive experience in environmental assessments and conservation biology. Since September 2022, Damien has led significant fauna monitoring and assessment projects for various clients, including multiple terrestrial fauna assessments for Fortescue Metals Group and other organizations from 2006 to the present. Prior roles include Manager of Biological Sciences and Principal Zoologist at Spectrum Ecology, and Associate Zoologist at Ecoscape (Australia) Pty Ltd. Damien holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Conservation Biology and Environmental Science from Murdoch University. The depth of expertise encompasses targeted fauna surveys, conservation monitoring, and environmental assessments across a wide range of industries.
