Tara Bernat

Tara Bernat is a seasoned environmental specialist with over a decade of experience in the field. Currently serving as a Senior Environmental Specialist at Ovintiv since January 2020, following the company's rebranding from Encana Corporation, Tara's expertise includes evaluating environmental information, interpreting regulatory requirements, and developing solutions for development projects. Prior experience includes a similar role at Encana Corporation, where responsibilities involved internal program development for wildlife and habitat protection. Tara has also held roles as an Environmental Scientist at Marquis Alliance, a Range Technician at Alberta Conservation Association, and a Summer Conservation Intern at Nature Conservancy of Canada. Tara possesses a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Lethbridge and commenced studies in Biology at The University of Winnipeg.
