Cynthia Miller is a seasoned professional in security assurance and governance risk and compliance, currently serving as Senior Director of Security Assurance at GitLab since October 2023. Previous roles include Director of Security Strategy and Planning at Marqeta, Inc., where significant contributions were made to enhance identity access management and vulnerability management programs, as well as serving as Security SME for pre-IPO procedures. At Palo Alto Networks, Cynthia defined the strategy for Governance Risk & Compliance programs and developed a robust control set to strengthen compliance. As Sr Manager at Veritas Technologies LLC, leadership was established over the Security Governance Risk & Compliance department, addressing security risk management and enterprise resiliency. Earlier career experiences include roles at Symantec, KPMG US, Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, and Sempra Energy, where expertise in information security risk management and IT advisory was developed. Cynthia holds a BA in Economics with a Specialization in Computing from UCLA.
