David Lloyd Owen

David Lloyd Owen is an experienced professional in the water sector, currently serving as a columnist for Global Water Intelligence since January 2004, where articles focus on the challenges and contextual regulatory considerations of UK water utilities. As Managing Director at Envisager since March 2003, David provides advisory services related to water markets and sustainable development. In addition, David contributes to the Pictet Asset Management Advisory Board for the Water Fund, assisting with macroeconomic trends in water markets. Previous roles include advisory positions with Bluewater Bio, XPV Capital Corp, and EnviroGene, along with a decade-long tenure as a member of Glas Cymru Cyf. David also held director positions at WHEB Ventures and Delphi International, and was a founding director of Ecofin Limited. Educationally, David holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Ecology from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Liverpool.
