Peter Mallo has a diverse work experience in various roles. Peter started their career at the Guggenheim Museum, where they worked as a Cabinetmaker from 2005 to 2010. Peter then became the Chief Framemaker from 2010 to 2021, responsible for frame design and production. After that, they served as the Chief of Frame Production and Development from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Learning and Development at the Guggenheim Museum. Additionally, starting from 2019, Peter Mallo has been working as a Part-time Faculty at Parsons School of Design - The New School, teaching courses on space and materiality. Throughout their career, Peter Mallo has also pursued their artistic passion as an artist since 1997.

Peter Mallo earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General from the College for Creative Studies in 1999. In 2001, they completed their education with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts. Peter later pursued further education in Organizational Leadership at Columbia Business School in 2021. Additionally, they obtained several certifications related to learning and development, including Project Management Foundations in 2020 and various certifications from LinkedIn in 2023.
