Letitia Long

Tish retired as the fifth Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the first female head of a major U.S. intelligence agency. She served at all levels of the National and Defense Intelligence Communities including 20 years at the Senior Executive level in the Defense Intelligence Agency, OSD, naval Intelligence and the Community Management Staff. Among other professional achievements, Tish has been the recipient of the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Civilian Service, the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive, the Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive (two awards) and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal (three awards). Tish received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of America.
