Jiri Naprstek

Jiri Naprstek is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware engineering and design. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware Engineering at HID Global since December 2021, Jiri previously held the position of Senior Manager for Hardware Electronics at Porsche Engineering, where responsibilities included establishing an electronics design department in Prague and leading technical projects related to charging infrastructure. Prior to that, Jiri was the Chief Engineer of Hardware Electronics at Ricardo, focusing on systems architecture, design validation, and project management in power electronics. Earlier career roles encompass positions at Freescale and Motorola as a HW Design Engineer and FAE, respectively. Jiri's career began as a Network Administrator at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Jiri holds a Master's degree in Measurement and Instrumentation from the Czech Technical University in Prague.
