HORYZN

HORYZN is a student initiative consisting of 58 Bachelor, Master and PhD students of the TU Munich. The team is conceptualizing, designing and building eVTOL (electrical Vertical Take-Off and Landing) UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) for real-life use cases. The student initiative has also become part of the NEXT Prototypes e.V. Besides that, the initiative strives for an increased social and political acceptance of UAVs. βœ…π—Ÿπ—”π—¦π—§ π—”π—–π—§π—œπ—©π—œπ—§π—œπ—˜π—¦ In July 2024, we finished our latest project: Our UAV KOLIBRI, developed for delivering life-saving defibrillators, successfully took off after 12 months of testing, building, crashing and redesigning. πŸ› π—–π—¨π—₯π—₯π—˜π—‘π—§ 𝗣π—₯π—’π—π—˜π—–π—§ Right now, the new team of HORYZN is developing an autonomous life-saving passenger drone to compete in the GoAERO Prize, redefining the field of Advanced Air Medical Mobility.
