John Focke

John Focke is a seasoned audio engineer and broadcast professional with extensive experience in sports broadcasting and customer service. Currently serving as a CSE Computer Labs Technician at the University of Minnesota since April 2024, Focke also holds the position of Audio Engineer at Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. since July 2021, specializing in live remote radio broadcasts. Previously, Focke was the Department Manager at REI, focusing on customer service and sales, and gained significant broadcasting experience with the Charlotte Hornets as the voice of the team from May 2019 to September 2020. Focke’s background includes roles as a Television Host for Elite Edge Productions and as the Radio Play by Play voice for the Minnesota Lynx, among various other positions in sports media. Focke earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from Ohio University in 2002.
