Didier Pittet is a Director at the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre on Patient Safety and also serves as the Director of the Infection Control Programme. With a background in medicine, Didier has been a Professor at the University of Geneva since 2000. Didier obtained their MD in Medicine from the University of Geneva in 1983, and later pursued a Master's Degree in Epidemiology and Community Health from the University of Iowa. Didier has been associated with the Geneva University Hospitals since 1992.
