Don Free is an experienced broadcast engineer with a long career spanning several decades in the media industry. Since October 2010, Don has been with K-State Radio Network, where responsibilities include managing technical broadcasting operations. Additionally, Don has served as an advisor at Human Rights Watch since January 1998. Previously, Don worked as a producer and engineer for the Kansas City Royals until retirement in December 2017 and held the position of engineer at WIBW TV from July 1967 to December 1985, focusing on master control and mobile TV operations. Prior military experience includes serving as an inventory management specialist in the United States Air Force from July 1964 to July 1968. Don's educational background includes attendance at Newport High School and Kaw Valley Tech School, specializing in photography.
