Gisli Haukur Þorvaldsson

Gisli Haukur Þorvaldsson has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Gisli Haukur is currently serving as the Director of Technical Operations at Icelandair since March 2022. Prior to that, they founded and ran their own company called Skyhook.is from July 2012 to May 2022. Before that, they held management positions at Bluebird Cargo, where they were responsible for planning, engineering, airworthiness reviews, and maintenance program management. Gisli Haukur also worked at Air Atlanta Icelandic as a Manager in the Planning department and as an Aviation Technician.

Gisli Haukur Þorvaldsson attended Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology from an unknown start year to 1999. Gisli Haukur then pursued a degree in Aviation Technician at Spartan School of Aeronautics from 1998 to 1999. In 2019, they acquired their Private Pilot Licence (PPL) from Flugfélagið Geirfugl. Gisli Haukur Þorvaldsson also holds additional certifications such as Airworthiness Review Authorization (Form 4), Part-66, FAA A&P License, and various Boeing aircraft-specific certifications.
