Cris Kerns

Cris Kerns, LPC, currently serves as a Claims Examiner I at SIF, Idaho Workers' Compensation, starting in July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a District College and Career Counselor for West Ada School District, where recruitment of prospective students for career technical education pathways took place from August 2021 to July 2023, and as a Next Steps Idaho Ambassador with the Idaho State Board of Education from September 2022 to June 2023. Cris has also worked as a School Counselor at Rocky Mountain High School, aiding students with academic, social, and emotional support from January 2020 to August 2021, and held the position of Academic Advisor at the College of Western Idaho from December 2018 to January 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as a Paraprofessional at Borah Senior High School from August 2016 to December 2018. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Northwest Nazarene University, a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Fitness Administration from Idaho State University, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the College of Southern Idaho.
