Aj Mapes

AJ Mapes is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Design Director at IDEO since January 2019, AJ Mapes previously held multiple design leadership positions at Gensler from September 2012 to November 2018. Additional experience includes freelance graphic design at AHL&CO, teaching at the School of Visual Arts, and contributions to Poulin + Morris, a multidisciplinary design consultancy. AJ Mapes started the career at Pentagram as an intern in 2004 after earning a BFA in Graphic Design from The University of Georgia.
