Chris van Hoof

Vice President R&d at imec

Chris Van Hoof has extensive work experience in various roles within the field of research and development. Chris started their career at IMEC in 1998 as the Manager of the Detector Systems Group. Chris then went on to become the Integrated Systems Department Director and later the Associate Director of System Integration. In 2009, they were promoted to Vice President of R&D at IMEC and took on additional roles such as Program Director and Department Director. During their time at IMEC, they played a crucial role in the development of connected health solutions and heterogeneous integrated systems. In 2019, Chris Van Hoof moved on to become the General Manager at OnePlanet Research Center.

Chris Van Hoof completed their education at KU Leuven, earning a PhD in Electrical Engineering in 1992 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1987. In 2010-2011, they attended Vlerick Business School for an Advanced Management Programme. Prior to that, they attended high school, but no specific dates or degrees were provided.
