Dr. Kate Simpson is an Associate Professor at Nottingham Trent University's Centre for Sustainable Construction and Retrofit, with expertise in sustainable building practices and climate change. Currently serving as a guest lecturer at Manchester School of Architecture and a Visiting Researcher at Imperial College London, Dr. Simpson's research focuses on energy efficiency and environmental impacts of buildings. Previous roles include a Research Assistant at the University of Leeds and a Lecturer in Construction & Engineering at North Lindsey College, as well as extensive project work on sustainable construction. Dr. Simpson holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Surveying from Leeds Beckett University and both an MRes and PhD in Energy Demand of Buildings from Loughborough University.
