Akshay Jaitly

Akshay Jaitly is a visiting researcher at Worcester Polytechnic Institute since March 2025, with a strong background in robotics and software engineering. Previously, Akshay contributed to optimization and intelligent robotics research at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories from June 2024 to March 2025, and served as a software engineer intern at Boston Dynamics from May 2023 to August 2023, where enhancements made to Spot's manipulation capabilities were significant. Prior experience includes product development work for a medical device at SE Watson and Associates, and teaching a robotics curriculum for middle school students through Curious Cardinals. Akshay holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, completed between August 2020 and May 2024.
