Dr Mo El-Haj

Dr. Mo El-Haj is an Associate Professor in Data Science at VinUniversity, where responsibilities include lecturing on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and directing the VinNLP Research Group, which focuses on innovative NLP applications in low-resource languages. Additionally, Dr. El-Haj holds the position of Director at VinNLP, overseeing projects that advance AI-driven language technologies. With extensive experience as a Visiting Researcher at Lancaster University, Dr. El-Haj has conducted advanced NLP research, supervised PhD students, and held various roles, including Senior Lecturer and Co-Director of the UCREL NLP Group. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Essex, an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Jordan, and a BSc in Computer Information Systems from the same institution. Prior work experience includes teaching programming courses at Code First: Girls, and various roles related to data mining and natural language processing at UK Data Archive and other institutions.
