Howard Tang

Howard Tang is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in semiconductor design and technology. Currently serving as a Technical Fellow at Impinj since June 2021, Tang previously held the position of Senior Principal Engineer at Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics of America, Inc., where significant contributions were made to Capacitance Diaphragm Gauge electrical design for semiconductor manufacturing. Tang's earlier roles included Display Electrical Architect at Apple, where expertise was applied in iPhone display architecture, and various engineering positions at organizations such as Cypress Semiconductor, Ramtron International, Maxim Integrated Products, and Fairchild Semiconductor. Tang holds a PhD, MS, and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park.
