Anthony Lucarelli has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the library and communications sectors. Anthony started their career as a Sports Media Specialist and Access Services Assistant at Benedictine University, where they handled media coordination and wrote press releases. Later, they worked as a Public Information Officer at Gail Borden Public Library District, handling media tasks and coordinating a successful building bond referendum campaign.
At Mack Communications, Anthony served as a Senior Accounts Supervisor, managing client accounts, writing press releases, and creating advertising materials. Anthony then joined Fountaindale Public Library District, where they held positions such as Public Relations Specialist, Adult & Teen Services Librarian for Business & Technology, and Emerging Technologies Librarian/Systems Librarian. In these roles, they were responsible for writing press releases, ordering materials, conducting trainings, and implementing new technologies.
Currently, Anthony is working at Indian Prairie Public Library as the Senior Technology Librarian. Anthony'sresponsibilities include overseeing the library's computer network, researching and acquiring new technology, and configuring and deploying new technology. Anthony has also held roles such as Maker & Technology Services Librarian and Head of Resource Services at the same library.
Throughout their career, Anthony has demonstrated strong leadership skills by overseeing departments, supervising staff, and managing budgets. Anthony has a proven track record of delivering high-quality library services and facilitating service to library guests through the implementation of innovative technology platforms.
Anthony Lucarelli earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Dominican University from 2006 to 2009. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Benedictine University, graduating between 1997 and 1999. In addition, they completed an Associate of Applied Science degree in Library Technical Assistant at the College of DuPage between 1994 and 1996. Anthony Lucarelli also obtained a certification in "Up and Running with Arduino" from lynda.com in July 2015.
