A 2006 graduate of Butler University and homeowner in Garfield Park, State Representative Justin Moed (D) was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives on November 6, 2012, to represent Indiana House District 97.
Rep. Moed started out as a doorkeeper at the statehouse and worked his way up to become a senior policy analyst where he helped champion proposals to strengthen the middle class. While at the statehouse, he gained a strong understanding of how the Legislature works — and, at times — doesn't work.
Attracting new businesses to our area and helping small businesses grow, tackling the abandoned housing crisis, fighting crime, improving and upgrading infrastructure and mass transit, and supporting our local schools are among his top priorities at the legislature.
