Danese Kenon is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in visual journalism. Currently serving as the Managing Editor of Visuals at The Philadelphia Inquirer since December 2018, Danese also held the position of Director of Video & Photography. Prior roles include Deputy Director of Photography for Video/Multimedia at the Tampa Bay Times from May 2016 to October 2022, where responsibilities included guiding the photo department, developing staff training initiatives, and enhancing community outreach through photojournalism. Additional experience includes managing the photography and video department as AME of Visuals at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (2014-2016) and serving as a Multimedia Photojournalist and Assistant Photo Team Lead at The Indianapolis Star (2006-2014). Danese began a career in visual storytelling as a Photojournalist at The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (2000-2004). Academically, Danese holds a Master of Science in Photography from Syracuse University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Virginia State University.
