Rania Ahmed currently serves as the Director of Climate Action at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) since June 2023, focusing on Climate Change and Human Mobility, while also leading policy, advocacy, and innovative solutions in climate mobility. Prior to this role, Rania served as the Director of Peace and Development Coordination at IOM and as Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Rania's extensive career includes pivotal positions at UNICEF as Chief of Child Protection and Gender Lead, the Danish Refugee Council as Deputy Regional Director, and Save the Children International in various leadership roles. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the University of Wales, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cairo University, and a Diploma of Education and Professional Certificate from The American University in Cairo.
