Alten Hulme has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Alten started their career in 2008 as an Actuarial Specialist at Jacques Malan Consultants & Actuaries, where they worked until 2010. In 2011, they joined The Wealth Corporation as a Researcher & Model developer for a short period. Alten then joined Iress in 2012 and held multiple roles within the company. Alten began as an Actuarial Analyst and set new standards in building financial modelling tools. Alten then became a Product Owner and Team Lead, responsible for ensuring the quality and deployment of the company's product. Alten later became a Product Manager, where they implemented modern product principles, fostered collaboration, and achieved high team engagement. In their most recent role at Iress, they served as a Product Lead, where they managed a team and was responsible for product outcomes. Alten is currently the Head of Data Science at Iress.
Alten Hulme completed their secondary education at Diocesan College from 1998 to 2002. Alten then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University, graduating in 2007.
