Matheus Vargas

Matheus Vargas has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Matheus started their career as an intern at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda. in July 2014 and worked there until June 2016. Following that, Matheus joined Itaú Unibanco where they held various roles. Matheus started as an intern in November 2016 and worked as an Analyst from August 2017 to January 2019. Matheus then progressed to the role of Junior Data Scientist from February 2019 to June 2020, and subsequently served as a Senior Data Scientist from June 2020 to October 2021. Matheus has recently joined Isaac as a Senior Data Scientist in October 2021.

Matheus Vargas completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Data Science and Analytics at USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Universidade Federal do ABC from 2014 to 2020. During their time at Universidade Federal do ABC, they also completed a Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology from 2014 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Matheus has obtained several certifications. Matheus received the Professional Certificate in Data Science from IBM in October 2020. Matheus also completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Stanford University in February 2020. Matheus gained expertise in Convolutional Neural Networks through a certification from Coursera in December 2019. Matheus further enhanced their knowledge by completing certifications in Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, all from Coursera in November 2019 and September 2019 respectively. In 2018, Matheus obtained certifications in Big Data Science - Machine Learning and Data Mining from FIAP and a Nanodegree in Machine Learning Engineer from Udacity. Matheus also acquired skills in Machine Learning through the completion of a course titled Machine Learning A-Z: Hands-On Python & R in Data Science from Udemy in April 2018.
