Marie-Pierre Defoin has a background in engineering and chemistry. Marie-Pierre completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Juniata College in 1985. Later, from 1981 to 1986, they attended HEI - Hautes Etudes d'Ingénieur for a degree in Engineering with a focus on Chemical studies.
In terms of further education, Marie-Pierre Defoin obtained certifications such as the Foundations for Digital Transformation Certification from Stanford University School of Engineering in 2021. Marie-Pierre also received a certification in Human Resource Strategy in Transforming Organizations from the London Business School in 2004. Additionally, they completed the Montedison International Management Programme at INSEAD in 2002.
Marie-Pierre Defoin has also obtained several professional certifications throughout their career.
