Andrew Tighe

As Regional BIM Manager, Andrew is responsible for ensuring the domestic and international Fire Protection design teams for Jones Engineering are equipped with the necessary training and mentoring to develop the Sprinkler designs completed within BIM software in collaboration with the external supply chain within a project. He manages the project portfolio at the design stage within the company's Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) through project setup, Asset management, and handover, and is the general point of contact between our design team and external contractors across various projects.

Andrew is the gate keeper for all BIM design information and workflows utilised by the team and was Project Manager in the development of a customised Revit plugin for Jones Engineering that harnessed Lean principles by eliminating non-value tasks through the enablement of a variety of software tools that drastically reduce the time required to complete the task such as: Automatic Pipe Annotations, Project Model Clean Up Tool, BIM Content Library, and Hydraulic Calculations.

Since 2022, Andrew has been the project lead in implementing a Digital Implementation Strategy within Jones Fire Protection to improve and refine the internal communication and collaboration processes to achieve project success. This process has been so successful that he was invited to speak at Autodesk University 2024 in San Diego, being the first person from Jones Engineering to do so.
