Michael Turner

Michael Turner is currently an advisor at Kapalya, but they have held many other positions in their career. Michael started out as a sales engineer at Spirian Technologies in 1998 and then moved to Check Point Software Technologies in 2005. In 2009, they became a data security SE manager for RSA The Security Division of EMC. Michael left RSA in 2010 to become a sales engineer manager for Symantec in the greater Chicago area. In 2013, they joined Netskope as a senior sales engineer. And finally, in 2014, they became vice president of sales engineering and evangelization at HyTrust an Entrust Co. Michael has closed multiple $1M+ deals and achieved 130% of quota in 2015.

Michael Turner's educational career includes completing a financial acumen bootcamp through the Jack Welch Management Institute, earning an Associate's degree in Information Science from Rock Valley College, and receiving certification as a USPSA Range Officer from the National Range Officers Institute. Michael also has certification in Wilderness First Aid from Wilderness Medical Training and as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer from CrossFit, Inc. Additionally, they are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)².
