Lightbits Labs
Christos Karamanolis is an advisor at Lightbits Labs. Christos has also worked as a senior researcher at Hewlett-Packard Labs from May 2000 to September 2005. Christos's research has been focused on developing techniques for automatic, QoS-conscious data placement in large data repositories, such as Content Delivery Networks or large NAS farms. Christos was also a consultant to HP’s Storage Division and to the National Labs (LLNL) for the design of a cluster file system for use in large NAS clusters. Furthermore, they designed and developed a distributed file system that performs storage virtualization at the file level.
Christos Karamanolis has a PhD in Distributed Computing from Imperial College London, and a Dip. Eng. in Computer Engineering from University of Patras.
