Steve Baker

As Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Global Compliance and Sustainability at MillerKnoll, Steve Baker oversees legal compliance and advises on sustainability initiatives across the company. He plays a key role in developing responsible and purposeful solutions in collaboration with all teams.

With more than 20 years of experience handling complex legal matters as a federal prosecutor and corporate litigator, Steve brings extensive expertise in legal and risk management. He previously led the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan, and in 17 years in Chicago and West Michigan, he tried over 20 cases to jury verdict, argued dozens of appeals, and guided teams in investigating and successfully prosecuting hundreds of cases.

Since joining MillerKnoll in 2025, Steve has led compliance efforts, managing a broad range of legal matters, including internal investigations, trade compliance, and product liability.

Steve holds a B.A. from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
