Hans Lie

Hans Lie, CFA, is an experienced finance professional specializing in trading and algorithmic solutions. Currently serving as Executive Director/Strategist at Morgan Stanley since September 2014, Hans manages Central Risk Book Trading and Global Portfolio Trading. Previous roles include Senior Research Analyst at Millennium Partners, where activities focused on systematic futures trading, and Quantitative Analyst at UBS Securities LLC, concentrating on execution algorithms. Earlier experience includes Director of Software Development at RG Niederhoffer Capital Management, where Hans led the transition to electronic trading and algorithmic execution, and positions at Merrill Lynch and Algorithmics, enhancing fixed income trading systems and enterprise risk management, respectively.
