Giorgio Mattei

Giorgio Mattei is an experienced professional currently serving as Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors at NEXT Yacht Group, and as a board member at Pigmento. Giorgio holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at AI Technologies and is a partner at Gate SPA. As a co-founder of IVTech s.r.l. since January 2014, Giorgio has an extensive background in research, having held roles such as Assistant Professor at the University of Pisa and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at multiple institutions including Optics11, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Leiden University Medical Center. With a PhD in Chemical and Materials Engineering from the Università di Pisa, Giorgio's academic research focused on developing 3D organ models in vitro and innovative techniques for testing the mechanical properties of soft samples.
