Kerrie Jackson is an experienced professional in business development and research, currently serving as the Head of Business Development at Nomad Atomics since March 2022. Prior to this role, Kerrie held the position of Commercialisation and Business Development Manager at the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre from September 2020 to March 2022, and worked at The Australian National University from June 2011 to September 2020 in various capacities including Technology Transfer Manager for Physical Sciences and Senior Research Coordinator. Kerrie's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Australian National University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Pharmacology from The University of Auckland. Additional experience includes positions at Technical University Munich as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow, and roles in education and outreach at the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and CSIRO Discovery Centre.

Nomad Atomics is developing a suite of compact, low cost, quantum sensor to address the shortcomings of current commercially available sensors. The venture aims to solve outstanding problems across numerous market segments such as inertial navigation and underground fluid monitoring where poor long-term data quality is the limiting figure of merit. This will be accomplished through the introduction of high precision, compact, drift free quantum sensors into targeted commercial markets.
