Debra Choi

Debra Choi is an undergraduate student researcher at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, focusing on tumor virology and human genome sequencing since October 2023. Additionally, Debra serves as an internal medicine intern at Hudson Regional Hospital, where responsibilities include shadowing physicians, managing patient interactions, and engaging in critical thinking related to diagnosis. Prior experience includes serving as a cancer biology trainee at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in summer 2024 and working as a customer service representative at Starbucks from October 2021 to August 2022, where skills in communication and teamwork were developed. Debra is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on pre-medical studies, having previously obtained a GED from James J Ferris High School.
