Joseph McInerney serves as the Chief Risk Officer for Northern Trust Asset Management since October 2020, overseeing risk assessment and governance globally for all asset management activities. Prior to this role, McInerney held various leadership positions within Northern Trust, including Managing Executive for the Outsource Chief Investment Officer business and President of Northern Trust Company of Connecticut. McInerney's experience includes operations as Chief Operating Officer for Northern Trust Global Advisors, Senior Product Manager for alternative investments, and roles in auditing and bank examination. McInerney holds an MBA in Finance from DePaul University and a BS in Economics from Northern Illinois University.
