Cheng Sun

Cheng Sun is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the fields of engineering and optical imaging technologies. Since September 2007, Cheng has held various faculty positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. In addition to academic pursuits, Cheng co-founded Opticent Health in September 2014, a start-up focused on developing optical imaging technologies for ophthalmology. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at UC Berkeley from 2004 to 2007 and as a Research Engineer at UCLA from 2000 to 2004. Cheng holds a PhD in Engineering from Penn State University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
