Alexandra Bradu

Associate Research Scientist I at The New York Genome Center

Alexandra Bradu is currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist I at the New York Genome Center since August 2023, working in wet lab research with the Satija group. Previously, at the University of Chicago from February 2020 to August 2023, Alexandra held roles as a researcher in the Koh Lab and as a teaching assistant in the Biological Sciences Division, covering courses in Core Biology and Molecular Biology of the Cell. Other experiences include environmental education counseling at Lindley G Cook 4-H Camp, teaching math at ESPI: City Smart Scholars, and interning at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the Cheng Lab, focusing on renal cell carcinoma research. Alexandra earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago in 2023 and completed high school at Hunter College High School in 2019.
