Nick Walton is a User Research Consultant at Opencast since September 2023, previously serving as a User Researcher at the NHS Business Services Authority from May 2020 to September 2023, where Nick was the sole user researcher in Primary Care Services Digitisation during the early pandemic. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Newcastle University, awarded in 2020, and a range of postgraduate qualifications in research methodology, risk management, and economics. Relevant research experience encompasses roles as a Joint Lead Author for a systematic review with Cochrane, a Research Assistant at the Wolfson Research Institute, and involvement in public health evaluations with Durham County Council. Nick's early career included an internship evaluating urban redevelopment projects in Nepal and pursuing various degrees in economics and related fields from universities including Glasgow and Durham.
