Jim Balla will be chief strategy officer, a distinguished leadership role, to further transition the agency to a managed care model of service delivery. With over 40 years of executive management experience, Balla has held numerous roles, including chief executive officer of Pacific Clinics, Portals and the Los Angeles office of the United Service Organization (USO). Balla has received numerous awards, including Pepperdine University’s 40 over 40 Alumnus list and the prestigious George Award, honoring his business skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Balla served on the national Board of Unemployment Services Trust and is Chair of the Board of Quality Comp, Inc. Before his civilian career, Balla served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received the Secretary of Navy Commendation Award. Balla has a bachelor’s and Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
