Antonia Zimmermann is an experienced trade and sustainability reporter at POLITICO Europe since January 2023. Prior to this role, Zimmermann completed a traineeship with the Axel Springer Academy of Journalism & Technology, in collaboration with POLITICO Europe, from January 2021 to December 2022. Zimmermann served as a policy advisor with the Deutscher Bundestag, focusing on press relations and social media from August 2020 to January 2021, and worked as a research assistant at St Antony's College on a project examining contested narratives in Europe. Additional experience includes freelance writing for Der Tagesspiegel, co-founding and managing the blog Women From The Blog, and various internships in journalism and research. Zimmermann holds a Master's degree in Politics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, along with educational experiences in the United States and France.
