Wintry Whitt

Wintry Whitt possesses extensive experience in education and program development, currently serving as a Teacher at Portland Public Schools since January 2020. Prior to this role, Wintry held the position of Executive Director at Peace Village Global from October 2015 to March 2023, focusing on curriculum development and camp program initiatives. Wintry founded and directed Tumbleweeds Playschool from March 2009 to August 2015, emphasizing peace education within a preschool setting. Previous experience includes serving as a Parent Educator at Neighborhood House, where Wintry worked with women and children to enhance social and emotional skills, and founding the Amani Education Project, which created educational opportunities in Africa, specifically establishing a school in Kenya. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Pacific University, obtained between 1993 and 1997.
