Power To Be
Liz Brown is currently serving as the Head of Grants and Impact as well as Advancement Lead at Power To Be since April 2019. Prior to this, Liz worked as a Program Coordinator at Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association from 2013 to October 2018. With a background as a Project Administrator at CGI from 2011 to 2013, Liz also has experience as a Cycling Product Specialist at Mountain Equipment Co-op from May 2009 to January 2011. Liz holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Victoria.

Power To Be
Power To Be began with an idea: help people living with a disability or barrier to access nature. The idea grew into a community, connecting participants to adventures, and supporters to opportunities, collectively redefining our definition of ability. Based in Victoria and Vancouver, we are a non-profit organization that empowers people to explore their limitless abilities through inclusive adventures rooted in nature. We believe finances shouldn’t prevent anyone from accessing nature, and we work to remove cognitive, physical, and social barriers to the outdoors, while encouraging participants to explore who they are and what they are capable of, with the support of our staff, volunteers, and each other.
