Rory Jara

Rory Jara, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in process technology and engineering, predominantly in the OLED sector. Currently serving as Process Technology Leader at PPG since April 2020, Rory is responsible for the adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies. Previously, Rory held notable positions including Technology and Engineering Lead for OLED and Technology Transfer Associate, where responsibilities spanned process development and scale-up, technology transfer, and compliance with safety regulations. Additional experience includes roles as Lead Chemist at SI Group, where process optimization was a focus, and Feedstock Engineering Lead at Renmatix, overseeing the development of sustainable biomass feedstock technologies. Rory is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at West Virginia University and has a strong research background, having earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Concepción.
