Nicholas Ndiege

Nicholas Ndiege is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at QuantumScape since February 2021, with extensive experience in manufacturing engineering and process development. Prior roles include Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Abbott and Alta Devices, overseeing GaAs substrate recovery for solar cells and implementing process line controls. Aveni employed Nicholas as a Process & Application Engineer, where notable accomplishments included establishing US lab operations. Additionally, Nicholas served as a Process Development Engineer at Lam Research Corporation, contributing to flowable dielectric thin film deposition. Early career included postdoctoral research at the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Institute at the University of Iowa, focusing on zeolite nanoparticles and semiconductor quantum dots, and a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, achieving advancements in Ta2O5 films. Nicholas earned a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from Berea College.
