Brandon May

Brandon May is a Senior Applied Scientist at RAI Institute since May 2023, focusing on enhancing robotics through cognitive and athletic intelligence. Prior to this role, May was a Senior Scientist at STR from September 2018 to May 2023, specializing in generative models, vision-language learning, and explainable AI, among other areas. Previous experience includes positions at MITRE, where May held various engineering roles from November 2013 to September 2018, contributing to advancements in satellite imagery analysis and real-time visual technologies. An internship at L3Harris Technologies involved developing a Python module for dense 3D point clouds, while academic positions at Rochester Institute of Technology included both research and teaching roles in imaging science.
