John Young

Director, Planning at Republic Polytechnic

John Young is the current Director of Planning at Republic Polytechnic. John has held various positions in the Singaporean workforce since 1991, when they began their career as a System Analyst for the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). John then transitioned to Nanyang Polytechnic, where they lectured from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, they began working for Sybase (Singapore) Pte Ltd as Education Manager. John held this position until 1998, when they began working for Temasek Polytechnic as Section Head and Lecturer. John worked at Temasek Polytechnic until 2001, when they co-founded Cymec Consulting Pte Ltd. with several other dot-com entrepreneurs. Cymec Consulting Pte Ltd. was acquired by another company in 2002. John Young has been with Republic Polytechnic since 2001 and currently holds the position of Director of Planning.

John Young completed a Master of Technology in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore.
