Álvaro Gómez-Sellés

Álvaro Gómez-Sellés is an accomplished architect and educator with extensive experience in academia and design. Currently serving as Teaching Faculty at IE School of Architecture and Design since June 2025 and at Rhode Island School of Design since September 2021, Gómez-Sellés has also held teaching positions at Pratt Institute and the University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona. Demonstrating a strong professional background, Gómez-Sellés was Head Designer at müsing–sellés from 2018 to 2023 and held multiple roles at SO – IL, including Associate and Architect. Prior experiences include working as an Assistant Architect at junya.ishigami+associates and as an Intern Architect at OMA. Gómez-Sellés holds a Master of Architecture from ETSAM, along with degrees from Rhode Island School of Design, UCL, and Universidad Europea, reflecting a solid educational foundation in architecture and urban design.
