Jan Zijderveld is an experienced business leader who led the global beauty brand Avon as CEO for two years after a 30-year career at Unilever, which culminated as President Europe and as a member of Unilever's Executive Team. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Hema for two years until early 2021. Since March 2021 he is part of the Board of Directors at Pandora and also serves on the Supervisory Board of Ahold Delhaize.
Zijderveld was born in the Netherlands and educated in New Zealand. He joined Unilever in New Zealand and progressed through a truly international career.
During his last seven years at Unilever, he served as a member of the Executive Committee and President of Unilever's $14 billion European business. Jan believes in growing brands and businesses by connecting with consumers and citizens and bringing a company's purpose to life.
