Roy Hill
Johan Utomo is a seasoned metallurgist and process engineer with extensive experience in the mining and minerals sectors. Currently serving as a Specialist in Process Modelling at Roy Hill since April 2019, Johan previously held various positions at Rio Tinto from October 2011 to April 2019, including Metallurgist in Ore Processing, Beneficiation and Tailings, and serving as Acting Senior Metallurgist. Earlier roles include Process Engineer at Sinclair Knight Merz, where expertise was applied to iron ore and mineral sands projects, as well as positions at Curtin University and Parahyangan Catholic University as a lecturer and researcher. Johan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University and a Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan.
