Professor Salim Akhtar

Professor Salim Akhtar is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Tunnelling & Ground Engineering at Jacobs Engineering since 2005. In addition to this role, Salim Akhtar holds positions as a Visiting Professor at both the Royal Academy of Engineering and the University of Bradford, contributing to the field of applied geotechnical engineering. Previously, Salim Akhtar was the Head of Geotechnical Engineering at Earth Tech from 1997 to 2004. Academic credentials include an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, and a degree from the University of Bradford.
